YouUpsetTheWholeSystem

Sun Mar 28, 2004, 8:22 PM
Excerpt from "You upset the whole system of this place" from Loving In The War Years...by Cherrie Moragaour

"I've been inside all day.

you enter sleek, wet from winter rain. hot heaving chest. hot breath. the still heatered air of this house melts around your shoulders as you pass through it, dripping down along your thighs to bare calloused feet. you upset the whole system of this place."

and from "Winter of Oppression"

"I cannot
choose nor forget

how simple
to fall back
upon rehearsed racial memory.

I work to remember
what I never dreamed possible

what my consciousness could never
contrive.

Whoever I am

I must believe
I am not
and will never be
the only
one who suffers."

Snow

Wed Mar 17, 2004, 2:49 PM
Its snow-snow-snowing! Billions upon billions of perfect miniscule, crystalline structures fluttering down, each and every one wholly unique, coming together to form a sea of white, erasing all the dirt and filth, replacing it with purity... ahhhh... cup of hot chocolate.... mmmm...snow!

NothingGoldCanStay

Mon Mar 15, 2004, 5:51 PM
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
-robert frost

Why is it that vacations are always so short. i just got back from spring break and even though i just went home, it was very relaxing but was just way too short. now it is back to the daily grind. the weather was beautiful today, but that too is leaving...snow and the cold that comes with it is in the forcast for tomorrow...nothing gold can stay
